Mississauga’s New Youth Council Encourages Creativity and Community Service
The Museums of Mississauga’s New Youth Council is accepting new members. Students looking for fun ways to earn volunteer hours and make new friends are encouraged to sign up. This group recruits local youth ages 15 to 21 for meetings every Thursday from September through June. Meet times are 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. unless otherwise specified.
Opportunities available through the New Youth Council include:
- Going on field trips and participating in community service projects
- Learn about the rich local history of Mississauga
- Host and plan activities for the Museums as well as the Small Arms Inspection Building
Students can work together to create artistic marvels and other creative final projects that push contemporary art ever forward during their tenure. The next meeting is Thursday, January 14.
