Mississauga Asbestos Abatement by SERVPRO

This building in Mississauga suffered a water loss, and SERVPRO was called in for cleanup and restoration services.  Our technician suspected that an (ACM) asbestos-containing material was present, upon inspecting the damaged area. This building was erected in the 1970s when asbestos was still used as a very useful building material for the insulation of pipes. Its strength and fibrous nature were excellent for plaster and vinyl floor additive as well as being an excellent fire retardant. A third-party accredited laboratory-confirmed our suspicions, so industry best practices were now followed. The removal of the ACM was done after containment barriers were erected, as shown in the After Photo.
